Among the events we aim to run over the next twelve months are:
To help people form friendships and feel part of a community.
It is also aim to help people new to Plymouth to integrate into the city and feel less isolated. Intercultural celebrations where people from different backgrounds come together to share experiences and knowledge over the joy of food.
As part of our community engagement we will deliver monthly events that will help us bring more people from diverse backgrounds to share stories, share local knowledge and support each other to find a foothold in Plymouth. All of this will be done around the celebration of cultural foods in a safe place where people come together and build new relationships.
These events will be run both indoors and outdoors (i.e. in the sitting area of the Kitchen, Beach and ferry Trips, Woodlands). Talks will be delivered by experts in the field on different topics (TBC) ranging from Careers, Wellbeing, social integration etc.
